Okay, I haven't been to a whole lot of concerts. But I've had some great experiences at the ones I've been to. But I just found out that Billy Joel and Elton John were gonna be in concert my way this fall!

Flew my ass across the country to see her, okay! I would have loved to see Michael in concert and I'd love to see Whitney in concert...now that she's back! Last night, at MTV's Video Music Awards after the award for Best Female Video was announced, declaring young Taylor Swift as the winner, West ran up on stage, stole the microphone and proclaimed that Beyonce should have one because she had one of the "best videos of all time...." What The Fuck?!

Yes, this dumbass has struck again! He really can't seem to help himself. A mortified Beyonce and humilated Taylor stood watch as West embarassed, himself and them. He was thankfully escorted out of Radio City Music Hall.

Why did he do this? Was it staged or impromptu? The question I have is, does it matter? Either he was paid by the good ol white folks at Viacom to act like a fuckin coon or he did it on his own.

Has anyone else noted the imagery that was sent out with this stunt?

Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself

So, I had to check it out prior to writing about it. After Madea Goes To Jail I was extremely disappointed in Tyler Perry. I felt it was thrown together and rushed. And a mediocre project was the result. Plus if you add Rudy Huxtable's ass to anything, it looses all credibility cuz that heffa couldn't act to save her life!

And if yall recall, I haven't liked the fact that in his latest works he's gone further and further from his message about the Church. I also credited this to his friendship with Oprah. Cuz yall know how I feel about her! With his newest venture. I Can Do Bad All By Myself starring Oscar nominated Taraji P. Henson along with the sexy Adam Rodriguez and Brian J. White he has nearly won me over again.

In typical Tyler Perry movie fashion, it dealt with issues our community doesn't dare to talk too much about such as child molestation, alcoholism and family secrets. However, I believe that these are issues our community deals with all the time yet don't want to speak on. So I applaud Perry for constantly bringing it up and encouraging his audience to not keep these things in the dark and to heal from them.

With cameos by Mary J. Blige, Gladys Knight and Marvin Winans, the musical numbers were up moreso than usual but that did not stop the movie from being enjoyable. I applaud Perry for once again bringing it back to the Church. It's of course, funny with Madea/Joe moments but it was a really touching film overall. And seven dollars I didn't mind spending.

I hope Perry doesn't completely forget his roots and his beliefs in a quest for fame. Because he has become a voice to our community in many ways, most noticeably spiritually. And should he not do God's will, that will come back to bite him in the ass!

Millions of people across the country will be remembering the attacks that took place 8 years ago today. Many will mourn the loss of loved ones and the tragedy this country faced making sure it will never be the same again.

I myself was in high school at the time and it's definitely one of those, "Where were you when...?" type questions that people will engage you in. I remember clearly. I remember my parents were on vacation, I remembered how fearful I was that this country was under attack. I remember how much I wanted to get them back. I remember how eager I was to go to war...along with 90% of the rest of the country who will probably now swear up and down that they didn't. I remember being frightened of Terror Alert Level-High Yellow, Nearly Orange and Almost Red.

But what I remember more than anything is that for the past 8 years this country has lied and manipulated it's people into being afraid. Republicans and Democrats alike. They have killed many innocent lives due to it's own greed and imperialist ideology. This is what I remember most of all. I remember realizing that the Pentagon was not hit by a plan but rather a missile. I remember there was no plan crash in Pennsylvania but rather a bomb going off. I remember that this nation has always used the fear of the unknown to control the masses.

I remember the faces of people who look remotely Arab or Muslim being disrespected and treated horribly regardless of their true place of origin. I remember that I as a Black woman am treated like that each and every day. I remember how much and how quickly this nation turns to hatred to solve it's problems. This is what I remember from 9/11. That it brought out the absolute worst in the nation's people. It showed that after over 230 years the American people have not advanced in any way, shape or form. This nation has been built and thrives upon hatred.

For instance, I'm not the nicest individual around. I admit that shit but I keeps it real. I treat my family and friends with the utmost respect. And if I should happen to not come correct toward someone, Ima do my damnedest to be apologetic and make the situation right. I do right by those I claim to care about. I've always been a very generous person toward those around me, even if I may not have it to give.

But one thing that bugs tha fuck outta me is when people complain about the shit in they lives and they the ones who bring it on themselves. I may complain about my life but somethin I realized is that drama I may have, is not my own. It's shit that's been brought on me by the hands of others, most noticeably family. So I separate myself from those individuals so I can live a stress free life to the best of my ability.

I know individuals who are selfish, lazy and no fuckin good at all. And when all the shit around them collapses, they the first ones to talk about goin to Jesus and they put on the "I'm livin a holy life" act but then they turn around and do the same shit they been doin before. They are unapologetic for the people they hurt and don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves. And these are the mothafuckas who turn around and want to scream, "woe is me!"

They want to ask, why does this shit keep happening to me? And it's because karma is a bitch! They just gettin back they just due and don't recognize it. And they got mothafuckas who are they "friends" who instead of tellin the truth, want to avoid rockin the boat so they say shit like, "Do you." You doin right." "It's cuz of this, that or the other." They play into their new "God lovin" lifestyle and say, "God is testin you." "The Devil is messin with you." etc.

And don't get me wrong. God does test you. The Devil does mess with you. And all that can cause hinderences in your daily life. But these so called "friends" won't tell the individual;

"It's because you treat me and everybody else like shit! You are messy as hell and are a fuckin ho! Folks who done right by you get screwed over by you repeatedly and you'll never change because these lacky mothafuckas around you, indulge your behavior and you don't want to hear the truth and you certainly don't want to better yourself. You're a liar and what yo ass is gettin now are the consequences of your actions."

To be real, if that above sounds like you, look in the mirror and truly change your life. Or it won't get any better and the shit you do will come back to you because you bring it on yourself. I've had to separate myself from a lot of individuals who weren't doin shit but bringin my ass down. And now, even tho things aint perfect and great. I know when I put head to pillow at night, I'm a good person. I keeps it real but I do right by my loved ones. If you did the same, and actually took responsibility for your actions, maybe shit wouldn't keep happenin to you.

If you haven't read a Dominick Dunne novel, you should. He's great. But since most of yall don't read at all...I highly doubt you'll take me up on my offer. He had his own CourtTV television show as well as wrote for Vanity Fair for many years, making fiction of high profile cases. Speaking heavily against celebrities and the rich getting over in the legal system.

Of course this is the hot topic in the news rooms today. Senator Ted Kennedy passed away last night due to brain cancer. I'm sure all of the tributes and comments will be lovely. As you remember Eunice Kennedy just passed two weeks ago herself. But as long as Ted Kennedy has been a senator and as much as all the news coverage will be heartfelt, how is it possible that people have forgotten how corrupt this man has been?

Someone doesn't spend nearly fifty years in the senate without being corrupt. His family has had their hands in so much dirt that no one is surprised by the "Kennedy Curse." His leaving the scene of an accident that killed a woman. And not even calling authorities until after the body was recovered. He was an alcoholic womanizer. He attempted to cover up a rape his nephew allegedly committed in his home one night after an evening of partying. He is rumored to have paid off individuals to get his nephew acquitted of the crime. He was even rumored to assist in the cover up of Martha Moxely's infamous murder at the hands of Kennedy clan member Michael Skakel.

All of his years of "service" to this country has not and does not make up for any of the murders, cover ups, and illegal activity in my opinion. The Kennedys are known for playing dirty and always have been. So maybe God is paying them back in His own way. But this is one life that I won't be celebrating. If I owned an American flag, there's no way in hell I'd be flying it half- staff!
